Ted,

Not sure if anyone would use it other than me, but how about an additional option to split the running costs (maintenance) into 'maintenance' and 'maintenance-warranty' or something similar?

Every time I update my current TVR's history I have to wince at the running costs - but this includes a big chunk of warranty work. Would be a useful comparison for potential buyers to help gauge the value of a warranty.

Cheers

That was quick!

I guess the main problem will be getting people to use it, but if comprehensively completed it could be of some commercial value to you / warranty companies perhaps?

It might also help ensure potential buyers of the marque don't get put of by horror stories such as my current car (it's not that bad really!)

Personally, anything that helps me rationalise TVR ownership (to myself mainly) is a good thing.

Especially when I am about to break through the £10,000 barrier for the year as the car is currently at the V8 Centre for a service, MoT, and - oh yes - to diagnose a nice 100A fuse blowing problem

Need to go and buy a runaround tomorrow methinks...

Personally I list the warranty work and put it down as £0 cost. May be an idea to add a section for extended warranty premiums.
