Totally agree. Friend of mine just got printed in numerous National papers here, and the NYT a couple of weeks ago. He was also first on scene at Buncefield, but only had a small digital camera, not even a cameraphone - by the time he got home and uploaded to his agency, the Beeb were broadcasting on site. Had he have even had a cameraphone, let alone wireless and a laptop, his shots should've been worth in the region of £100.0K

Does make you think (well me anyway) whether it's worth trying to get approved by a press agency for those odd occasions.

I think knowing your gear comes into it as well - you wouldn't wanna miss it because you're messing about setting the mode on your camera!
