Ordered my engine today...

I had spoken to these engine builders before while I was "interviewing" for the engine build. These guys competed in the Hot Rod Magazine "Engine Masters Challenge" and did very very well. Anyway, the engine will spec out to be approx 525HP @ 6,000 ft in altitude with about 500 ft/lb torque. (you lose approx 29% of your HP going from sea level to 6,000 feet)

So, 389 with Edelbrock heads, ceramic coated valves, chambers, piston tops, etc. Edelbrock EFI with ceramic coated fuek rails (inside of course), the whole thing balanced/blueprinted with Eagle rotating assembly.

Pre '74 block to avoid the emissions man and the cats...
