Myself and the missus had a baby earlier this year, so never got a holiday due to her not wanting to fly with the wee one.

She is due to go back to work in Feb, so beforehand I fancy a break somewhere for 5-7 days. Preferably warm, but I don't expect to be lying on a beach though - just somewhere where I don't need to wear a coat.

We would bring the baby so can't be too far to fly.

I'm thinking Southern Spain e.g. Murcia La Manga direction. Also 4-5 star.

Can anyone else think of anywhere? I could easily look this up, but keen to hear others experiences.
Thank you!

playa blanca in Lanzarote

not very touristy, generally nice and warm/hot in January, a unique island with a lovely breeze and fabulous food

3.45 hour flight .. done it with a 2 year old before and it was fine

I found a return flight in january for £73 with easyjet the other day

i'll be there in Feb for a week anyway ...

Yep With a new one in tow, P. Blanca a good shout.

Loads of 3-4 star accom., cheap flights and generally temps in the late teens to early twenties.

If you're not wanting to spend lots on the accom, seek out a SC villa on owners-direct.

Gran Canaria also very nice, I find it better than Lanzarote.
