Time to fit one.I've read most of the old threads and it seems that the current choice is either the Tower View one as fitted by GarryM,BB etc or the Peninsula twin hoop option.I prefer the looks of the twin hoops but am aware of their limitations regarding strength, proximity to head and seat position constraints.

Two questions, has anybody found an acceptable solution/mod to the hoop design and/or are there any 'new' rollbar solutions out there.

Pics welcome.

Tiny could you not use the hooped version but prehaps get a piece welded across from one bar to the other about parcel shelf hight. might make it stronger and you keep the hoop look.

Just a thought

But that would need a backwards facing brace as well? R...

Yeah suppose so Rich. How about a cross section in the hoop down below behind seat with a brace coming off it to the rear??
Just shooting ideas about so you can have a hooped look but with greater strength than just a hoop.

Rich/BB,

Got the same sort of idea i.e bar at lower level to link hoops plus backward support strut(s).Also think I need to move whole stucture back a bit to get it away from seats/head - fixing points are then an issue.

One similar in style to the Tower View bar...I think.

It's a few weeks away yet before it's being done, so once it's in I'll post a few pics

I had a full cage fitted to my car by V8 Sports & Classics in Edinburgh.

I dont think you would be able to get the roof back on mind.

Here are a couple of pics in case your interested.
