VC10 over Cardiff today

Spotted around 1400, gear and flaps down, assumed approaching St Athan.

Beautiful aeroplane but completely different noise to the modern stuff.

Are they all being scrapped or will they be 'phased out'?

That`ll be the last major servicing on it`s flight test, I think they`ll be around for a couple of years before they are retired.
