I recently went for an interview at a company I would love to work at. I have not heard anything back and so am not hopeful at my prospects but today have been asked for feedback on the interview.

I find this very strange and am not entirely sure what to say. Does anyone have any experience of this?

I had this recently, had an interview but heard nothing. I can understand given the market conditions that someone else got the job over me, however to be told would be nice.

I emailed the HR girl, who organised the whole thing a week later asking for feedback. I still haven't heard anything over a month later, common decency seems to be lacking these days unfortunately!

I haven't asked for feedback, the company I went for the interview have asked for my feedback on the interview.

I understand when a recruitment consultant does it but when the company does it what am I meant to do? Am I meant to rate their interview skills or come out with some positive comment about the company as a whole?

I think it's a bit strange that they can't tell you if you were successful or not, but want you to tell them how you thought the interview went.

You found it well organised. It was a tough interview and the interviewer seemed very thorough and competent. If this approach is representative of the business as a whole, then you would love to work there.........

If pushed on improvement/opportunities - only inconsequential things matter eg the room was warm.

Most businesses want "can do", positive attitude, not gripers or moaners. Sometimes, honesty is not the best policy wink

Surely you must know... An interview is a 2 way thing..

Simply suggest that you both get round a table and discuss it.. The more time you spend in front of them, the more you will be the one they remember.

When you get there have your own agenda and questions...

That is : if you can be ar$ed and the company is where you want to be.
If they want you - they will want you.

Thanks, I thought of doing something like this but thought that it was odd they were asking me for feedback.

I think they wanted to know, how perfectly they took interview, did they make any mistake in asking questions, or missed skilled person.

Once a person had interview...

Interviewers asked many questions but he couldn't give a single answer. They said sorry.,

But candidate asked, " excuse me, what was the purpose of this interview, to know what i dont know Or to know what i know." Then he shown his skills.

Maybe you're one of two in the frame, and they want to know your attitude before they decide to offer?

If you say "You were crap, and you didn;t offer me a cup of tea", they'll offer the other chap.

If you say "I really enjoyed it, and I'm really fired up by what I learned", you're in.
