Wickham Square is usually very very busy, if you don't arrive before 9.00am you won't even get in the Square. I got there about 9.00ish last year and did manage to get parked up just outside the Square, spent an hour or so looking round then off for a little hoon

Lots of differant types of cars, trucks & bikes from old to new

yeah Wickham is normally good, but if you do want to get there early with your P&J just make sure you are prepared to stay for a while.....getting out of there can be almost impossible until about 11am!

Think i will head down there to get rid of the normal christmas blues, but doubt i'll bother taking the Tiv

I used to go to Wickham, did it for many years and it used to be a great morning out.Sadly, it has been a victim of it's own success IMHO. Last year I tentatively did the Romsey show for the first time.Needless to say, I'll be going back to Romsey again this year.Romsey has about 3 times the amount of vehicles that Wickham copes with, simply because of the available space that is allocated for show cars only. Wickham needs some sort of marshelling to prevent the total gridlock that occurs for about 3 hours. It may be an attraction for some being a "non-organised" event, but not for me any longer.

I wish you all well in whatever you decide, and let's keep everything crossed for good weather, for both the events!

+1 for romsey we will be there again with classic british and american tin

not brilliant for parking though if you havent got the required type of vehicle as they wont let any old thing into the alloted car parks

even so its a good morning out

Is there an age limit on the Wickham meet? I was fancying Romsey but cars must be pre 76, which is no good for my Mini.

No age limit at Wickham, just get there very early if you want to get on the Square. It is a very informal meet (just very busy) with no one telling you where to park etc

I got there just after 9.00 last year and the Square was already full to bursting, I would say probably 8.00am but if you do get on the Square you are unlikely to be able to get out until 10.30/11.00

I'm going to take a quick trip down. I always park in the community centre. Easy access and you can escape from there whenever you want to rather than fighting through the crowds

Just got back, had to take the Polo in the end as the Mini decided -10 was to cold to be starting. Saw a few Ph'ers cars but left fairly early as I was starting to loose all feeling in my extremities (ohh-err).
Will get a few pics up in a moment smile
