Well I'am the proud owner of a 1999 4.6 HSE.
I think that I checked the most important bits,

Coolant lever
Oil (for water)
Not over heating
Air suspension in working order
All interior switches work
No oil leaks which surprised me

Just got to wait until wednesday to pick her up smile

So did I miss anything?

O rings in heater matrix leaking? Wet carpets?

Yep checked the carpets. The drivers footwell was damp but i put that down to the wet weather with people getting in and out (no matts).

Did you check your heated seats are working,as that was the only thing i didnt check on mine,and yes the fillaments are gone smile

Bugger, I remember pressing the button and the light comming on but then I switched it off.

Just enjoy is and keep an eye on the coolant level etc, and get it sorted if it goes wrong (like any other car).
