Not surprising, I remember reading a left wing report that suggested that remittances are one of the best ways of solving world poverty (read bringing us down to africa's level). Harmans only mainstreaming this view, its already accepted as a good thing in the left. I forget where i read it, but within some ethnic groups as much as 80% of the money they earnt here is sent abroad.
In globalist circles, they are encouraging as many immigrants to come here, and then send as much money out of the country as possible. Its simply considered a more direct method of aid.

Just look at the coverage of this, i can only find the daily mail reporting on this. If the other media outlets actually acted responsibly and reported these insanities from our elected officials, allowing voters to hold them to account, Labour would be consigned to the history books.
