Air intake thing fallen off my E60

I took my car to the Kosovan car wash earlier. I can only imagine that the power of the jet wash has pushed off the intake thing off! For those of you have or know of the Msport version it looks like this (see circle):

I have tried-without success-to slot it back into place. As it seems to slot back in it seems the best way to get it in is by removing the entire bumper or jacking it up and removing the engine base. Any words of encouragement or advice would be appreciated.

I've seen loads of these missing, although I have managed to clip new ones back in.

Be a bit more brutal with it, it should go in, or next time you are passing a BMW dealer pop in and ask someone in service for a bit of help.

Thank you. Since mine came off, I notice two with them off - which was funny. I will pop into my BMW dealer and see what they say!
