Hi guys, went out looking at cars today for the Mrs and she really liked the new CX7 but it is about £25,000 and is a diesel. We didn't want to spend that much on her car so we had a look online and you can get the 07-09 model for £12,500-£15,000. My concern is over the fuel economy. They older ones only come in the turbo petrol which I think could be really expensive to run and make it not worth it as it is going to be the daily family car.

Anyone own one or can give me any advice on these?

Cheers!

we looked into getting one of these a few months ago, but trying to find a dealer with one in stock so we could have a look around it was impossible. the nearest one was 150miles away. i have a mazda 3 which has the same engine and i am getting around 27mpg with mixed driving, i would imagine the cx7 would be slightly lower than that, low 20s probably. and dont forget the tax which is 400 gold coins
