I understand all the Wikileaks stuff, and I can see their rationale behind going after Paypal and other organisations denying services to Wikileaks, but what are Amazon supposed to have done to incur their wrath?

There are plenty of news stories talking about it, but none of them seem to include this particular detail.

Wikileaks was originally hosted via an Amazon hosting service (I didn't know amazon did hosting, but they do). Then when the cables started coming out (i.e. the st hit the fan) Amazon suddenly 'realised' that Wikileaks was 'breaching the terms of service' and pulled the plug. Many people believe that Amazon buckled under pressure from the US Gov to take the site offline. Some of the guys on 4Chan (aka 'Anon') decided to punish Amazon for buckling to the US Gov, or for whatever reason pulling the run from under wikileaks.org hence the DDOS attacks. Same thing for paypal/visa/mastercard etc they are all companies which Anon believe have 'unjustly' removed services to hamper wikileaks.

You havent had an email stating...... all of your personal information has been lost, and that if you could possibly follow the link to input all your information then they can get your account back up and running again.....as well have you?

Lloyds really should be more careful!
