Hi Guys
I recently bought a manual Gallardo with 15k on the clock, i agreed a reduced price as i knew the clutch would need doing reasonably soon. I noticed that it can be a little sticky going into all gears but not bad at all but just noticable. Reverse gear seems to need a fair bit of pressure for it to engage. Is this a common sign that the clutch is on its way out or other problems? I thought maybe the hydraulic system needing bleed or something. I dont think there is anything wrong with the box as it is every gear not just one. Reverse is more the concern as its barely noticable in the other gears. Any advice would be much appreciated. Cheers

Likely as not if you know the clutch is towards the end of it's life this is the culprit.

When you get it changed, make sure they change the whole thing, friction, pressure plate and release bearing.

Hi, not sure if this is what you mean or not, but a while ago my gallardo was really hard to move the shifter around and would stay where ever i left it and not spring back to the middle as it should, and also very hard to put in reverse, after a bit of investigation work it turned out to be the gear linkage right at the back of the engine bay (closest to me when standing at the back) needed a good grease up as the cold weather had made it seize up! Good as new now though!
As i said not sure if these was the same symptoms as you described but hopefully it is as its a very cheap fix if it is smile
