Anyone use the A419 in the mornings?

I commute down the A419 each morning to J15 on the M4. Notwithstanding the current weather conditions, I've seen a massive increase in traffic over the last few months, so much so that I frequently join it with the traffic at a complete standstill and crawl all the way to the M4. I can see no logical reason why, anyone else got any ideas?

Been a couple of accidents on the A420 which shut the road and traffic was diverted down to M4
or
They opened the gates at Swindon and locals were taking the chance to flee

Tee hee! Can't say I blame them.

Thought the traffic had improved since the Commonhead & Turnpike roundabouts were bypassed?? Hey ho - improve a road & more people want to use it...
