Fuel additives - injector/valve/engine cleaning?
Discussion
What are people's thoughts on products such as Redex that you add when filling up with fuel with the aim of cleaning your injectors/valves and engine and therefore improving how the engine runs, especially with old (say 10 year plus) and/or high mileage fuel injected petrol engines?
Are they just snake oil (like a lot of "Octane Boosters") or do they provide real benefits?
To be more specific, I have an MX-5 engine that runs very nicely, but is 11 years old and has 120,000 miles on it - am I likely to see any benefit from using an additive, and if so, which additive?

Oh right, well at least it's not a consensus of "They're rubbish, don't waste your money".a can of worms has just been shaken and then OPENED

I've also heard good things about Sea Foam Engine cleaner from engineers and tuners, rather than a bloke down the pub. Has anyone used it and if so, what did you think?
