I was in one of the BAT Caterhams - once we got going, was a great day.

Loved the scuderia and the plate, by the way smile

You didnt hold anyone up mate, but it was a bit of a PureGT day out so trackday etiquette was stretched a little.
Our thanks to everyone for not complaining about the silliness.

pure gt day, it was a gold track, track day!! think a few of the drivers thaught it was a test day/race day. i think a few drivers need to learn about the over taking rule-arent you only ment to over take down the straight and on the left, "not on the inside midway through the corner,or, under braking!!!

Dn't know who was driving the green RS at the end but they nearly had a massive shunt, it seemed like he was correcting it for about 30 seconds afterwards! Just outbraked himself going into Stowe, onto the astro and then speared back across the track. I was the caterham watching in the rear view mirror! A good save none the less...

Not so lucky for the guy in the lovely (formerly) 996RS

Very nice lap clap (almost as I would have done it biggrin ) but you are going to have to get that right hander after the new pits faster than that tongue out
and mind the bump there yikes.

I uploaded a load of onboard videos from this day on my channel, if you were there on the day chances are you'll be in one of them.
I only did 26 laps though as had some problems with the throttle linkage (apologies for the first red flag)

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oKrQW4uXMGA (session 3, part 1) between noon and 1pm
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kvWUTuHdPjc (session 3, part 2) "

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qsa52_yiaGE (session 4, part 1) between 1pm and 2pm
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zPOjgQ5IsmA (session 4, part 2) "

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ev94BsTKsHs (later session, different viewpoint) between 2pm and 3pm

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JUax8aydCYM (best 3 laps compilation)

Never got a totally clear lap, best theoretical was 2:29 but losing 1.7 secs at Copse vs. previous time, it was very slippy for some reason.

All timing done post trackday.

tongue out It was very slippery on the entry and I was quite pleased with speed carried through there, as most people try to get far too over to the right for the next left, but the M3 held a tight line through there (with a dab of brake) meaning good entry speed and short line to brake area for the tight complex...

Copse was deadly all day!

Looks like you were enjoying yourself!

Where you on track when I shook down the TorqueSpeed E36 GTR? That thing cornered so well. Be nice to see some footage of it smile

Angus,

Was that the black/dark grey one with the huge rear ring or the (generally white) one with huge front camber?
