Brake Defects - How much do you really know?

Following on from my last post on ABS......and the Offence of Failing to maintain Brakes etc,what part of the braking system is not covered by this Offence?

Its not the brake pipes but after 4 years they are about to be replaced with braided lines on the kwack , hard braking cen see the lever touching the grip

The disc or drum as it is classed as part of the wheel and not the brake.

would be a different story if your car got hit by an unmaintained car with defective brakes , then you would want somthing done about it.

Yes, and this Offence is actually Dangerous Condition.

Well thats just plain daft! Try stopping the car with a busted brake disc...

Which is why the offence is classed as a "dangerous condition" rather than simply "Failing to maintain brakes"
