Does anyone know anything of this 350T and is VCAR worse than Cat C in loss adjustment terms??

once repaired it has to have a vic check which is done via the ministry to check all chasis numbers match so that it is the car its supposed to be once this has been done you then apply for a v5 via dvla as normal with vic check certificate and a v5 will be issued but it will state on the v5 that the vehicle was subject to an insurance claim once this has all be done and checked the car is motd via any mot testing station from then on
forgot to mention the vic test is not to check the quality of the repair but just to confirm the cars identity is correct i.e not a stolen car cloned to the written of vehicles details so you would need to check who repaired the car and it would be up to you to check it has been repaired correctly and properly in my opinion once they have been badly damaged they are never the same and the value is affected and any cat c,d, write off is always harder to sell on hope this helps cheers sean

All good advice thanks.....Would there be an issue with insurance? Even for the noted TVR friendly ones?

There's quite a few Tivs on the road that have had "previous" tho right??
Yeah, but it's easy enough to smash the fibreglass without bending the rest of it.If I was considering it I'd want to know exactly what the damage was and who did the repairs.

I don't think the outriggers are structurally important. I'd be more worried about the main "I" frame. I don't even know where the jigs are these days, but "J. Random car garage" won't have them.
Is she, underneath all the leather, a banana?
Yes again I agree mate....if the guys have got it straight etc....but is there any loss of rigidity of the chassis due to having to cut parts out??Is she, underneath all the leather, a banana?

My guess is that, if the welding is done well, no. But I'm no expert here.I'm sure someone will be along...
I'm not sure. It's no biggie that the kick plates say "Tamora"; just attention to detail that many owners would sort out. Or did new ones need finding in a hurry because they were bent with the main rails? I'd also be reasonably certain that this car was originally black - check the paperwork carefully and again, consider what this means to you and any future owner. Cosmetically imperfect but mechanically sound T350s without crash history (and from owners that need out) can be had for £18k privately. It's your call. I would wager this particular car will never be worth more than it is now; I wouldn't see this as an exciting investment opportunity but I'm happy to be wrong.
i agree i think its better left alone i to noticed the tamora kick plates? also?original colour i would prefer to pay a bit more for a straight one with no stories attached also then if you ever decide to sell,it will be much easier to move on as most people will be put of by a tvr that has been an insurance write off this of course is only my opinion so good luck with whatever decission you make
I'm fairly certain I saw a thread about this car a few weeks ago (Mid-Nov perhaps) but I can't recall the title. Personally I'd prefer a car without an insurance history, no matter how cheap (well, obviously there's a point at which I'd consider it, so maybe this one is haggleable).

That looks like the one that was sold on EBAY not long back?
If its the same one it was a cat D and went for £16150 so the price tells me theres something wrong??
Cheers. Lee.

I started the topic on it last time and you're pretty much correct on the price so it sets alarm bells ringing with me straight away that they want to sell it at a loss only a couple of months later!!
