Currently thinking of the following - used not brand new:

- iwc fliegerchronograph
- iwc pilots mark xv/xvi (xv preferred)
- rolex air king (all steel oyster bracelet)
- rolex datejust (all steel oyster bracelet)

any other suggestions. i want to avoid tag, breitling, omega, cartier and japanese. im trying also to avoid leftfield brands including ball (i have one), sinn, oris etc

nothing too bling so no graham-esque chrono's or nothing gold. must be steel and somewhat flexible re band. diameter around 36-38mm

Would have to be this out of your choices. The only downside I found with a Pilot was that the face looked a little 'papery' when I tried one on....still want one though!

i like the purity of the design but reminds me of cwc type military watches... ive seen the airkings at around 1500 on the bay.... they are quite timeless and classic but the issue is the brand!

thats a very attractive offer... i like zenith more for their blue face brown leather strap dress style pieces but if i didnt already have a monster of a divers style watch id go for that zenith

id say its fair value given the price of some comparables and the relatively weak residuals of that style of zenith

One of my colleagues has a vintage Datejust which looks marvellous, especially when wearing a suit.
