Clutch upgrade

Right im finally getting on with the nobley, I bought a helix upgraded clutch ( the one reusing the ap unit and holds 10% more ) but yellowshed quickly found the limits of it at just over 480lb/ft so of the lads who have gone beyond this what should I do? The helix paddle one that I think Adrian has or is there an alternative triple plate jobbie from the US that's worth the money?

Graham, I got the upgraded Helix paddle unit with the cerametallic plates which is the upgrade from there organic unit.
Im running just over 510 brake and just over 470 lbs with no problems to report.
A few of the other guys are running some more power and torque with no issues either.
If you order from Mardis Gras just make sure they know the sort of power etc you will be running.
Alternatively I believe that Jetstream now keep them in stock ready to go (Exchange).

d I wanted last time round but only after fitting and rolling road session a call to mardi gras reveiled I had the organic one! Grrr plumbs!
How much is it for the exchange? Do you know the power limits? I'm in brazil just now and a quick call would cost me a fortune! Haha

Home in a couple of weeks hopefully so will commence the 3rd strip down, assed, should just get a job at noble.
get the plate from jetstream as you will get the correct one then 
I have worked with Jetstream to produce a tripple plate kit for the noble 6 speeder that can hold well over 650ftlb (rated at 750ftlb and been pushed beyond by some people), unproven yet which is something I intend to change soon

Andy how much is this triple plate clutch and will it be a direct fit to my flywheel, I'd rather have the extra beef if it's not gonna cost the earth. Don't mind being test dummy.

it requires a new flywheel and release bearing, just finalising it all now.... main thing is the weight reduction, its around 8kgs lighter than the STD flywheel and clutch! it should also have a faster biting point and a lighter pedal.
it isnt however a cheap option but I decided to develop this as my AP paddle was simply too much on the limit as whilst its proven in the race car to 550ftlb its technically beyond its limit.
of cause I have no idea how much the box can take and Im expecting that will be the next weak point

As far as I'm aware my 6speed box done by gearbox man was only good for about 550lb/ft anyway, I just don't like the AP clutch, 3 broke in my TVR and it's basically the same item. If the cost for this triple plate jobbie set is too much at least I know the AP upgrade will match the box's theoretical limit, I'd like to have it a button over 500lb/ft as 480 feels pretty awesome just now so hopefully it will last and be reliable enough, god knows what power it might make, maybe 550? That's as far as I think I'm taking this pony.

Yeh I know what you mean, the AP paddle in mine did 700miles from a brand new upgraded clutch and it looks like its done a lot more as the paddle is very aggressive, which I guess it needs to be to take that level of power.
The clutch itself will be less than the AP unit (if you bought it new and then upgraded it) but the cost of the flywheel is the unknown at the moment. it cost me 150 to have the original Noble one lightened so the new one can be offset against that I guess.
I actually think it will only be a few hundred pounds more than the standard Noble parts (including flywheel and bearing) if you bought them new and had them modified to the paddle level.... trouble is how often do people need a new clutch and flywheel etc as you can usually get away with just reconditioning!!!
