Slighty different what car?
Discussion
Friend has been made redundant and will get a good package as a pay off, he has some paid leave and thinks he should be able to get a job within a few months on similar money with a company car as he has had some offers already. however he will obviously be giving up his company car for now, so will need something for the mean time.
He currently drives a golf gt tdi through work.
What car from 5-10k would lose the least value over say a year, needs to be hatchback or saloon, diesel or petrol, and fairly practical, no MX-5s.
Alway the possibility to become his wifes car once he gets another company car.
Any ideas?

to loose the least amount of money it needs to be something that is rare or desirable. This doesnt leave you much options. Top of my list would be the Focus MK1 RS 3 door in that tasty blue colour they did.
or something thats already done a bulk of depreciation! :PBut I'm sure the new mini's are one of the cars which depreciate slowly.
