It's looking like a good project, I've always liked the caddy for some reason. Would really like one in matt olive green.

I'm hoping it will be very awesome when its done biggrin I just wish the weather would hurry and start warming up again lol!

My Brother and his mates are going to the Nurburgring around April/May next year so the idea is for the Caddy to of been running long enough to iron out any little niggles! Then I can chase (and hopefully overtake) my Brothers Mk2 Golf G60 20v Turbo(approx 280bhp), his mate Chris' Mk4 Golf R32(approx 300bhp) and his mate Adam's Nissan 200SX(approx 300bhp) biggrin

Surprisingly enough no work is actually needed bodywork wise biggrin Its a very solid little truck!

I will be doing all the conversion work myself, except the wiring, which will be done by the people that converted my Brothers Golf. I hate wiring, it confuses me biggrin

Good luck with this. I've had a soft spot for the orig Caddy since my dad failed to keep up with a 1.8 16v-engined one back in the late 80s. When the pick up eventually stopped we pulled over and had a chat with the guy. Wanted one ever since and things have never co-incided to let it happen. Family man now so unlikely to ever happen.

The main problem is the price of them these days! Even rotten ones sell for stupid money!

Luckily this one cost me next to nothing biggrin

Nice thread, and thumbs up for the G60 conversion.

I hope your brother doesnt have an original G60 Edition one as it would be sacrilage to dump a G60 for a 20VT as a G60 has more character at tickover than a 20vt does in its whole rev range!
