So basically I am thinking of changing my defender soft top for a disco £ as I am doing more and more work miles in the defender and I would prefer to be in a D3.

So I have a 1996/7 Defender 200tdi, pickup converted to soft top 2 years ago, had about 5k spent i the last 4 years, new wheels tyres, soft top, bikini, discs, pads, brake lines, waxoiled etc etc etc.

It has the usual dents and a few scrapes but drives perfectly, so what may it be worth ?

Thanks for any advice

Soft top 90 £5-5.5k at this time of year....may be spring/summer time £5.5-6k.

Most people will factor in £500 for a roof /rear door.

Thanks for the replies, might have a look at either a d3 or older range rover td6

Then put up on pistonheads, don't really want to sell but can't justify another car !!

What size tyres are you running on it and did you need to adjust anything to avoid fowling? Looks great by the way

I will have to check .. But from memory they are 285' s, they are the largest you can get on without any adjustment an no rubbing.

It drives perfectly much nicer than my last td5, hence why I have kept it for a while. It doesn't have a lift kit and is mechanically pretty standard and not messed with.

Will post the sizes on here tomorrow
