If so by who?
£20-22?
I took a leggy SC out showed braking issues but still went very well.
Didn't buy though went NA 4.4
Sports and prestige Centre in slough. Full Dealer service history and 1 owner. Just a smidge under £19k and are giving me (I hope) sensible money on my trade in. If so by who?

How does the 4.4 compare to the 4.2SC? Feel pedestrian or just a little less oomph?
I'm just a little worried if the car can carry the miles well...and if there's any likely horror stories wating just round the corner....
Read into it what you want, but LR don't provide a full warranty on their own cars past 60k miles.......
High milers are priced for a reason, it could cost you a fortune, but the servicing costs will only get bigger, MOT failures, pads/discs are all expensive.
Awesome car, but I'd go fir less miles over age.

Hi Guys,
I've had a SC sport for the last three years with LPG conversion and to be honest its been brilliant. Mine has done 115K now and still is really sweet. I've had no problems at all with the LPG conversion and running costs had been more than reasonable. I buy all my sevice parts (pads, filters etc) from land rover parts shop.com who are loads cheaper than main dealers. In short if its the right money, which at 19K dosen't seem excessive, I'd go for it.
Andy.

Who did the conversion, did you have the flashlube system?
I would love the SC on LPG.
Well I drove the SC and whilst I was increadibly impressed with the interor (showed what I'd say was 40k miles wear on a normal car) there were bits of trim that the metalic coating was coming off. The rear of the central cubby box and the front seat 'aluminium' seat button trim were flaking. Spoiled an otherwise pretty mint interioir.
Was a green/beige combo which sounds disgusing but was actually very smart.
The down side was although that was the first Vogue I;ve driven, it felt a little sluggish and 'graunchy' when braking. Also with the stero and aircon fully off you could hear a very slight whine fromt the front and the brakes were not smooth.
The dealer insisted it drove as well as all his lower mileage vogues, so asked to take one out. True to form the lower mileage one drove much like a new car!
This SC is definately showing it's 120k miles and the fact that the dealer was insistant that it was 'as new' worried me about any possible problems that show up once i'd bought it.....
Might wait until after the snow and everyone has forgotten how usefull 4x4s are and buy a lower mileage one then.
Can't find anything in south east essex for sensible money at the moment. SC or normal Vogue!
Has anyone posted on here the spec difference between a 'standard' Vogue and a SC?? I know reverse cam/dvd and double glazing are standard on the SC but anything else?
cheers,
Virgil

Shame that the dealer lied / exaggerated, but that's par the for the course for some dealers. Was a green/beige combo which sounds disgusing but was actually very smart.

I have a 2007 s/c with 78k miles and it hasn't missed a beat. I absolutely love it and do not want to change it until I can afford a 2010 s/c
If my car is only worth what you are quoting in your post, then that will be a long time away! For me, I would not sell it as it is so reliable and in the last service (main dealer) it didn;t need any extra work. I may as well run into the ground rather than drop my pants for £20k, and I suspect that a lot of other s/c owners feel the same.
Don't give up though, they are great cars and they is one with your name on it
Thanks guys.
Not saying the guy deliberately mislead or lied, just don't think he expressed himself right or could (wanted?) to spot the difference between a leggy RRSC and a much fresher 4.4. Every niggle was a 'well they are all like that' rather than 'well it has done 120k and it's priced accordingly'....
A guy at work bought his '05 for 15k privately a year or so back but I guess he bought at the height of the low :-) So thouhgt I might be able to find one for that kind of money...there's nothing private about and I didn't realise they'd jumped back up so much...and with the snow adding 000's to 4x4's I feel like i'm buying at the wrong time.
What's the trade in value of an 06 SC? would I be stupid/have no chance of approaching a main stream dealer and asking to take an unwanted PX off their hands as a trade sale? or would they simply not entertain it?

Zero chance of dealer trading you an 06 car...the demand in the trade is massive at the minute, as is retail demand...wifes Vogue Autobiography was parked outside my place last week having had a bit of work done on it and three people enquired of it was for sale.
