series 2a timing issue?
Discussion
I have 2 issues with the old beast at the moment and wondered if they are related.
I sometimes have a bit of pre ignition when I turn the key off, which on occassions,
has run on for some surpising amount of time. The other issue is that when I start it,
I have to keep the key turned for quite sometime or it will cut out almost immediately. The spark must be strong as it fires up without hesitation, but just won't hold up without that key being held in place for a few seconds.
I've been putting in a fuel additive to mix with unleaded as it has not been converted. Any ideas? simple timing problem?
