Anyone know the current situation with WHA?
I had to pay a £500 bill that they would have picked up recently and it would be useful to know if I am likely to get it re-imbursed.
I'm told garages have been requested to honour warranties on a temporary claim number and then perhaps they will get the cash back.
Some sort of Management buy out at WH I am led to believe.
Sorry to everybody who has A WH warranty and who rely on it. But the sooner this bunch of Muppets go out of business or get taken over the better!!
Not very constructive I know, but previous bad experiences rule the head.
Odd isn't it? I have never had anything but excellent service, from them and my garage who handle it all for me.
I have a claim in at present for about £300, it was all authorised by WHA prior to the work being done. I am under the impression that all legitimate claims under existing policies will be honoured as they are underwritten by NIG, so I'm hoping for payment any day now

Is your claim being handled by the dealer?
My dealer obviously wanted their money and would not take the risk. However thay said that it should be honoured when the 'embargo' is lifted.
My dealer (this is a claim on a Saab) had already fallen out with WHA, so I have paid the bill and submitted the invoice (made out to WHA, using their authorisation number) along with the last service invoice for the car. This was only a couple of weeks ago, I will start chasing towards the end of next week.

Have had two cheques through in the last few days totalling about £750 for work done by Tower View - one for radiator and one for clutch. Tower View handled the contact with Warranty Holdings and no problems on reimbursement of what they said they would cover although prob took a little longer than expected but no funny stuff from them so if they have confirmed the go ahead you should ne ok if my experience is anything to go by. I have heard from Reliable sources that they have to underwrite and honour all current Warranties as these are underwritten by a seperate company to Warranty Holdings...they are purely the adminstration side..
My claim was paid in full today, approx 3 weeks after work was undertaken
