Car And Driver Creates Sports Car Periodic Table

Diverting, but proof that some people have too much time on their hands...

Ever wondered how your favourite motor would fit into a periodic table of the world's sports cars or what abbreviation it would have?

Neither have we, but our across-the-pond colleagues over at Car and Driver magazine obviously have a little too much time on their hands, because they've come up with this, a periodic table for sports cars.

Actually, we think it's rather brilliant and an excellent - if entirely pointless - way to waste a few minutes. Better still, you can download the sports car periodic table as a PDF, print it out and hang it on the wall. Should the fancy take you...

Good lateral thinking, but a little too US focused. Not a single TVR! Not biased or anything...

Caparo T1 as '98 californium' - thought it was a bit lighter than a heavy element, unless they were commenting on how unstable it is...

Agreed.

A little MORE thought would have been nice, but it's very clever nonetheless. Geeky petrolheadness! thumbup
