Suppose this is a bit of a follow up to Mawheels post.
One day over the easter period, I took the Chim over to Stamford / Rutland water for a blast.
During the run, pulled over by the plod as he thought the car was really noisey & wanted to check all was legit. Endured two speed traps during the day and was subjected to road rage from at t*sser in a knackered old beemer.
Add to that having to contionously keep a look out for plod & speed cameras and being spat on by some youths.
By the time I'd arrived home, I was completely p*ssed off with the whole thing and was left wondering whether I should persevere with TIV ownership???
Anyone else ever get like this??

and replaced with 97R 4.2 Cerb.

I was lucky never to be pulled in my first Cerbera. That was
LOUD!
Road rage happens in any car and sadly, kids will be kids until they grow up and
realise they want to own a TVR!

No my Cerb is in the capable hands of another PHer now.
I went back to a Chim just before Christmas.
It's funny really, I never got any grief in the Cerb, just positive reactions. Nor did I get any grief in my previous Chim or S for that matter.
I suppose, my reaction wasn't helped by the fact I was with my better half who is 7 months pregnant and I was really concerned for her safety.
Perhaps I should have kept the Cerb...

Sorry to hear you're having a bad time of it, these things tend to go in phases good/bad. All will be well soon, summers coming.
As an aside there are some pictures of the Cerb at cars in the park in "events meetings and travel" if you're interested. Just to prove that I'm looking after it!!

It's not an MOT thing. Concerned as the Chim is bldy loud (straight through pipes, same as you?)

same here. Never had any problems with the Bib - touches wood quickly.
I had to overtake a tractor carrying loads of potatoes going up a hill. They were behind me. Their comment was 'Is your exhaust secure sir?'
Had a cursory look around the car, made a few positive comments & I was on my way.
Their comment probably related to my rattling baffles as opposed to the noise. I don't know, perhaps I should of asked.

I haven't forgotten about paint & stuff. I managed to locate them whilst tidying the garage.

I have never had anyone 'road rage' me whislt drive the Chim, but on several occasions have been badly cut-up, abused, run off road in my MPV!!!!!
I think to$$ers think you must be a soft or easy target if you are driving a 'nice family vehicle' with roof box.......
however they dont realise that 'Mr Family man' in his Nissan Tino is a 6ft 15 stone member of HM Forces willing to separate their head from body for pure pleasure
I posted an incident on here a few months ago when a knob head tried to run me off the road with my month old daughter in the car...it made me so angry I wanted to kill the idiot and my wife literally had to make me pull over and stop driving......its not the TVR that attracts it.....its ANY car....wrong place, wrong time I'm afraid..

Now the sun is coming out I may don my beige pair. These are of 33" waist and short leg. Therefore allowing things to breathe much better compared with my regular 32" ones. Ideal for the warmer weather
It's about time I got my arse into gear and makd an effort to attend. Have a very important footy match on the Sat though which will have a major bearing on my frame of mind for Sunday (may also have ran out of pass outs too
