Maintaining Electronics

Guys
A dumb question but you dont know what you dont know!!
Stripping the car down through the winter and I am interested in advice on looking after the electronics. Have searched on here and advice is pretty clear around cleaning earths and connectors but you seem to recommend greasing them? Pressumbly a smear on assembly then wallop over to protect? The grease doesnt break the contact then?
Told you it was a dumb question! Any other maintanence involved on electrics?

i believe the grease is put on after the ground had been made -

i.e. clean chassis, with the earth bolted to this and them grease over top, its creates a watertight seal around it all and protects rust from forming.

Kinda like a plaster over a cut..

Coat contact parts in electrical grease for earths and connectors. You can then pack connectors with cheap vaseline and silicone the rears where the wires enter. After assembly coat the whole lot in grease/lard or even plastic bags tie wrapped have been used.

Waxoyl with a paint brush over the joint is good for keeping out the corrosion.
