I am a bit concerned about the tappetty noise coming from the engine. It is most noticable at around 2-2500rpm when pootling through town. Is this the norm or is something amiss?
It could me many things, like an exhaust manifold leak or the injectors, but not likely to b much else, just worry if it gets louder!
I had similar - it turned out to be the exhaust manifold gaskets.

Rover V8 tappets (I think it's another part of the valve gear actually since tappets are hydraulic) do tend to get a bit noise.
I've asked Fernhurst and they say it's no problem until you get really fed up with the noise!
