I fancy a pair of Piloti Prototipo. Apparently they add at least 7bhp if you wear them enough.

Don't do it.

Well, unless.. No infact you'll be alright.

I had a set, I'm chubby though so they weren't comfortable at all. My skinny brother loved them though!

They're fixed back which is abit (Very) annoying.

My Elise seats are fixed back and I don't find that annoying at all. As long as they are at the right angle so they are comfortable why would you need to be able to tile them?

I found the 7s to sit at abit of a reclined angle and I prefer my seats abut more upright than they were.

Plus the sides were digging into me hehe

Lazza I like your seats but can't find a pair for decent money. And the mk1 Elise seats aren't comfortable at all.

Fatty - do you still have them available for purchase? (also, number plate wink )

There is a pair of cloth 111S seats on Seloc right now:

pair of S1 111S seats plus runners and fixings.

these are a great upgrade from the standard S1 seats and just as comfy as the S2 seats if not more so in my mind theres no rips tears or marks on these very good condition alround and both drivers and pax seat both have lumbar supports

£275 ONO

Lazza - can you PM me the link to those please? Do you think they would be as comfy as yours?

Just go to http://forums.seloc.org/ and take a look in the classifieds - it's on the 1st page so you can't miss it. You need to register on there to get to the forums...

As for comfort - I believe they are the S1 shell so a bit shorter but with much better padding and are supposed to be pretty comfy, at least as comfy as mine. They will lean back a bit more if they are S1 shells which many do find more comfy.

I needed them on Saturday when I got stuck in the snow hehe

What about a tow strap? Or one of those nice tow eye things from Loon on Nutz?

Could be wrong, but I don't think they are that strong and you arent supposed to tow on them....

Oh really? eek

It was only a few metres.. Hopefully it was alright.

If not how else can you get towed out?

They shouldn't be used for towing but they are fine for moving the car around/dragging it out of snow/a ditch/gravel-trap.
They are attached to a chassis point with 3 big bolts so they are plenty strong enough as long as they are only used for pulling forwards. If there is any strong pull sideways it can twist the chassis (i.e. only use one, not both at the same time as that will pull them together). If you but something like the Carbing tow hooks they fit in exactly the same place and aren't actually any stronger!

Interestingly, AA/RAC won't use them at all even if you tell them to, not even to pull the car up onto a flat-bed!
