Can't get in.... HELP!!!

Foolishly, I offered my GF the use of my car just now as it's fitted with winter tyres and there's a bit of snow on the roads. It's a 4 door E30 with standard BMW alarm.

I don't know what she's managed to do, but it sounds like she tried to open the driver's door with the key without disarming the alarm. Then she pressed the alarm buttons a few times and probably tried the key in the lock again, then gave up and came back in.

I've gone out and tried the key and the key fob to unlock it. Both will activate the central locking and the buttons pop up OK but none of the doors will open.

What's happened and how do I reset it?

Try running a hair drier around the door seal and mechanism for a few minutes and see if it improves.

OK, managed to sort it by a random combination of button presses and lock turns. Wish I knew how it happened though...
