Grid refs with a garmin sat nav

My parents are coming up to stay and we live in the middle of nowhere so the "main road" into our house is often blocked so i am going to send them via the backroad which is a farm track so isn't on 99% of sat navs.

She has a garmin something or other is there a way of getting it to show lat long or grid references for me to give them directions as we will be at work when they are coming here

Most Garmins have a 'co-ordinates' option in the 'where to?' menu.

Then just enter the co-ordinates in the format you wish. To set the desired format, press 'Format' and choose lat/long (various options) or British National Grid.

You need to be careful when entering the data - always check using the 'Show Map' tab before saving, to ensure that you haven't mis-entered the data!
