Bio-briquettes for woodburners

This seems a cheaper alternative fuel than logs, about half the price. Is it comparable to burning wood or does it burn away quickly and give out less heat? In these days of rip-off oil and log prices these briquettes appear to be a good deal.

I've not used them myself but others have said that they do burn through quicker than wood and less heat too. Might be worth a look into www.periodproperty.co.uk discussion forum where we talk a lot about these topics.
