Jesus that is rough, I completely feel for you. You never know the Police may strike lucky and recover it.

Gutted, what makes it worse is that they won't be interested in what the parts are... Just what they weigh.

I take it you had insurance for this collection? Sounds expensive to replace!

I'd take the CCTV footage that shows they are pikeys to the police.

Gutted for your loss.

bds

Me & the mrs were talking about this the other day.

We were thinking of buying a stbox caravan and parking at the end of the drive so any wannabe pikey thieves would think that pikey's lived there and leave us alone.

Got to be worth try

They stole 130 xmas trees from our garden centre, then were caught red-handed unloading them.

Some of our staff went to ID our trees and recovered 60 of them (we alter them in an easy-to-identify way), all the while father, son and female-ish matriarch stood shouting abuse and saying "we paid good money for these, so we did." While the police laughed at them.

These people must think it's their god given right to take someone elses property.

I can't for the life of me understand why when they get caught red handed f'n blind that it
belongs to them .

Cheeky sods.

Cheers for the replies.badly need the sympathy from like minded people.Sadly no insurance.Police not interested. Will never recover the parts as they have probably already been sold for scrap. This was in broad daylight.Neighbors watched and said they thought I had called them to clear out and that they wondered why they were looking over the wall at their garden. My Yank cars have been my life. Now I cant even look at them as all the parts to finish them have gone.

Seriously these people should either have their hands cut off or simply be humanely put down so they stop costing society money and time.

So sorry to hear of your loss.

I agree, keep an eye on ebay and maybe put the word around local scrap yards and the like.

Jesus man that is really bad, I have never had it happen so I can’t say I know what it is like, all I can do is offer sympathy.

I wouldn’t even bother with the police just get someone to "deal with them" if they are known. People (used loosely) like this need chucking off a bridge rather an arresting.

Yeah found them over the wall 2 days before.Lookout saw me pull up and shouted o the others. They ran around the corner to their car and drove off. I phoned 999 and chased them. Was giving police run down on their route and they said they would terminate the call, if i was in pusuit, as i was endangering the public.I was 2 cars away to get the registration. They said my description was good enough and to go home where the police would meet me.Two hours later a cop kid turns up and says they cant do anything without a registration. As it was a car i didnt connect it to pikeys.I did ask the cop if they could just keep an eye on my road for a couple of days.he tells me no. but I should contct local police safety team.gives me three numbers to call.had been called them at least 10 times a day.got through one time and someone picked the phone up and put it down. Then this happens.cops turn up 2 days later and say that the snow means that no fingerprints can be taken

I'm sorry to hear what happened to you, it's no wonder that confidence in the Police is as low as I've ever known it.

I notice that up here, despite the deadly roads, the 'Safety Camera Partnership' always manage out, I think the Irish have the right idea for them!
