I kept my car cleared of snow even on days when I was not driving it, so it never got buried, and parking it in a corner kept the worst off it. Eventually there was about 12" of snow in this car park and the surrounding roads. Others floundered but my plucky Fiesta made the great escape! And the Great return, many times actually.

EDIT: Photo complete with ice on the inside of the rear passenger windows!

is about as close as I feel like going right now.

The van behind is abandoned.

The golf is attempting a 9000RPM 900 point turn as he can't get up the slight gradient

This was 2 weeks ago just after going and getting a new phone and successfully getting the car stuck on the drive upon my return.

Poor image quality is due iphone+camera app that does things....
