So, we now have 2 Metros !
Discussion
The kids have an diesel one (A Christmas present from my Brother in Law !) that has conked now and my grandad has recently given up driving and donated it to my 3 boys, they drive it round the field, under supervision at the in laws farm, they are 11, 13 and 15.
Now they ruined the last one by "painting" it, for painting read daubing it with whatever paint they could find, now I dont want them to just ruin it, its kind of sentimental and really its actually quite tidy, ok will never be worth anything but rather than just batter it round the field until it breaks I am thinking of some kind of project that may result in a track car, the shell is very solid for a Metro with only one arch with a small bit of rust, want to get them involved so after any suggestions of what fits and what needs to be done. I am reasonably handy with the spanners doing my own servicing, brakes, suspension etc.
Its a K reg 1.1 c with white, we have most of a 1.4 diesel one as well if that's any use for bits ?
The 15 year old wont be getting it as his first car, wouldn't have a new driver, on todays roads in one of these, its easy to end up regretting not getting them one with some safety features after the fact.
Here is the first one we got just to whet your appetites....

I once shagged Mrs Zakelwe in the back of hers in Watford town centre NCP carpark. Those were the days.
20 years later I asked her to have sex with me in the back of a Rolls Royce and she said no. That's life lads, live it whilst you can. Her excuse was it was the next door neighbours and they forgetting to lock it was no reason to do it whilst they slept
Lovely leather seats as well, and more room than the Metro.
