They are awesome! 20% increase in power and torque and at a bargain price! I'm seriously considering adding one to my current SC system as a 20% increase on 240bhp will give me close to 290bhp!

Something they don't mention on the ad is that this thing will also make you look gorgeous - forget bathing in Lynx or elephant urine, this thing will have the girls chasing you down the street whenever you drive past. My 76 year old bachelor neighbour fitted one to his Skoda Estelle and now not only can I only just keep up with him in my MX5 but he's also doing my missus behind my back!

They aren't superchargers, they are simply air filters with fans in.

HAHAHAHA!!! thats hilarious.

We had a big discussion about this in another forum (Not PH/For pontiacs) and one person indicated that they knew somebody that had one of these come apart and get sucked into his motor. I dont know how much damage was done or if it really happened. The interesting thing that came from the discussion was that someone had went out and found a small eaton supercharger that was powered by an electric motor. The setup was very expensive, showed a minimal power increase (yep it actually produced boost), required you to equip your car with extra batteries (more than one, but i dont remember how many), and only lasted for a short duration before it had to be turned off so the batteries could charge back up. It was a long time ago, so i dont really remember alot of specifics, but the straight line performance gain (which was minimal) did not justify the cost (or weight gain).

Edit: My purpose is not to get your hopes up here, but rather to explain that even in the most over engineered design, an electric supercharger isnt going to give you better performance.

As awesome as lubing your lovely motor with Snake Oil instead of Mobil 1.

Great, I'll pick up some tartan paint whilst I'm at it.

Don't forget the left handed spanner to release the widget on the filler cap for the snake oil.
