Ruf Bypass Exhaust For 993

After seeing the recent talk of the 996 switchable sports exhausts, I started hunting around for something similar for a 993.

Found exactly what I wanted from Ruf yesterday and the quote arrived this morning with typical teutonic efficiency...

Ruf Exhaust Muffler with a bypass valve for a 1996 993 c4S at a touch over a grand.

Includes all wiring for the loud button, heat shields, Ruf tail pipes etc.

Seems too good to be true.

Has anyone out there fitted one, if so what's it like?

I wonder if anyone does something similar for a 964? It'd be nice to have a loud exhaust but still be able to quieten it down for those pesky greenie-loving trackday officials...
