yeah I got an email about that too. Looks ok - but if you are after a cheap single speed hack you would be better off buying the decathlon vitamin for 70 quid or whatever it costs these days.

If you want a bit more of a trad bike with a leather saddle then the linked bike is good value.

I do like the style of it, but component wise it doesn't look very good, especially the very flimsy looking pedals! If you're not absolutely set on a retro bike, Halfords have a cheap Raleigh hybrid for £179 admittedly probably with similar, or perhaps better, quality but with a few extras over the import one.

everyone will laugh at you because its not a pashley, it will be heavy as sin, cheap components that will wear quickly, evil handling at low speed, evil handling at high speed if you ever get it there and you will ride it for a month before it rusts in the back of the garage...

but thats just my opinion as requested.

Sadly the Vitamin is no longer available but you can get the geared version for £99 which is better than anything else for the money:
