Rover 25 uni shed. Warning chav wheel content.

I sold my westfield when i started uni in September so i was on the lookout for something cheap
and found this on gumtree for £275 with 84,000 miles, mg half leather interior a recent head gasket and service. It is a 2001 1.4. with horrible wheels but there was another small problem.


It had been hit in the side by a motorbike and damaged the sill, door and roof.
I phoned round the local breakers the next day and luckily found a door in the right colour so it looked like this:
I also got a replacement sill which is now welded in and painted so it now only has the dent in the roof from the biker headbutting it and the wheels that need to be changed but im not sure i can be bothered to spend any more money on it. It is currently parked up in the garage as i can’t find a sensible insurance quote for it. £3500 for a 1.4 rover 25 compared to £370 for my old westfield

The wheels probably wouldnt look as bad if they filled the arches slightly better so it doesnt look like its had a lift kit.I insured the car for one day to drive up for the vic check and its not a nice to drive as my 306 was, its not bad just not as good. It was nice to be able to relax in a car on the motorway and drive for more than half an hour without stopping also doing more than 14mpg is better for the bank balance.
As for the insurance i need to look around the quote was from my dads insurance as i have 2 years no claims on his policy as a named driver. If i can't find a sensible quote ill just have to sell the car and use my dads seat ibiza and my brothers disco when im at home and not have a car at uni.

Try and source some original wheels from a breakers, taking the aftermarket alloys off the car will reduce your insurance quote, insurance companies don't like young lads and modifications.
