I have to drive from south east kent (margate) into west london tomorrow (notting hill)

what are the roads like? that will me M26/M25 and then the M4 into west london.
would it be advisable not to go, or go through the centre on london instead?

any ph's been out and about to day on those roads?

I'm a couple of miles north of Notting Hill and it was poor here today. Main roads OK-ish, more minor ones a bit touch and go, back roads impassable.

Let the E Class parked up and slithered about in the Clio.

Temperature for tonight is forecast to drop to -10 and freezing fog in the morning... I'm driving from Rochester to Gatwick, not looking forward to it!

Just been out & about in Medway towns. Not bad, few roads a bit slippery but generally OK, so I'd expect M25 & M20 in the area OK not sure when you go east though as they got hit harder this time. Also -3.5 Deg C so likely to freeze overnight.

Im going at midday as I would think that the early morning problems may be over then, so touch wood it will be ok.
Im not too worried abour it myself, just fear the other turds that have no idea what to do, either too fast or too slow!

What's too fast or slow for you might be perfect for someone else's car & experience.

Anyway, Friday & Saturday the M25 was dreadful, don't know about today but I'd be considering going straight up the A2, across south London & up to Notting hill. The reason being once you're stuck on a motorway you aint going anywhere, but a problem in town & you can always find an alternative route.

Not been out in the car, but it sounds like the main roads are OK. Urban side roads in outer West London are drivable, not clear, but drivable. Main roads seem OK though. I walked the couple of miles to check on my elderly Mum a few hours ago, and she lives close to the A40 and traffic was moving on that quite normally.

Yes, just made it from Strood to Walderslade both through the towns and using the M2 and tbh other that some retard in a Corsa didn't see any problems...

Also made it up the unsalted lanes from Cuxton to Cobham today so even then probably nothing a bit of care and momentum wouldn't cure...

Im driving Rochester to Croydon tomorrow morning about 7am and have been keeping a close eye on the weather forecast.

http://www.accuweather.com/ukie/forecast-hourly.as...

Medway towns seem to have a clear night, but Croydon (SE London / M25) is forecast to have more snow at 12am, 2am, 5am &6am. So depending on how much there could be problems.

Personally Im going to be checking the traffic cameras before setting off to see what the roads/traffic is like.
