Chaps-

On a 500 mile round trip on M6/M5 found car to be vibrating sometimes quite loudly. As if it is a wheel balance prob, but it didn't do it all the time. Also don't think it was the surface.
Apparently it has slightly lowered springs which I suppose makes it feel worse.
Any suggestions?

Cheers, Tim.

Wheel balance or dented alloys can give shakes, but it'd expect them to be fairly consistent at 60-ish mph+
More inconsistent shakes can be stuff like a worn balljoint, bush or suspension component, or a binding caliper.

A lot more info. required, at what speed does it vibrate, is it through the steering wheel or seat of your pants, does it do it under braking or just normal driving.
As said, could be balancing/discs/buckled alloy/broken spring/tyre problem etc etc.

Very possible at this time of year given the weather we have been having yes

Not weather related, but the first thing I'd be doing is running around all four wheels with the torque wrench.

After a short trip today noticed it was through the front wheels that noise/vibration was coming from. Found nearside brake disk to be very hot compared to offside. Looks like binding caliper. Cheers, chaps.
