Scratched screen

Used an ice scraper on my mk 1 plastic rear window, yes I know I'm a fool!

I have left these wonderful scratches:



Is there anyway to get rid if them? Maybe clearing the murkyness at the same time.

As I replied in your other post, some people use Brasso to clean plastic screens.

I bought a little bottle of this screen cleaner from here:

It certainly gets rid of the dull look, gets the screen see through again and helps remove some little scratches, but not the big line where the soft top has scratched the window when its been folded down. A bit pricey as i reckon you'll only get 6 or 7 uses out of the bottle (inside and outside of screen) but does a good job.

I now have heated glass rear window smugness to add to my winter tyre smugness.

Renovo do a good cleaner.
I think it (& most products good for the job) are just a fine cutting paste.

I always used car polish - Auto Glym Super Resin Polish to be precise. It kept the screen clear for 7 years and as a bonus, applys a waterproof coating That will only really work for very light scratches & "fogging" though. T-Cut should remove deeper scratches followed by something lighter like Brasso or AG SRP to remove the fogging that the T-Cut will cause.
