Idiot sat opposite me in the BMW dealer..

I'm currently sat in my local BMW dealer (the car is getting a service) and am earwigging a conversation between another customer and one of the BMW guys.

They've clearly done him a favour by fitting wheels from his old car to his new one, despite the fact the wheels aren't BMW ones. The poor BMW guy is trying to explain that they're not responsible for the fact that the tyres are rubbing on the arches and the customer is getting somewhat knocky.

I'm really tempted to jump in and say my $0.02 because the customer is obviously a complete moron. The poor BM guy is doing his best to placate the customer despite the issue not being of his making. I can see now why dealers are very reluctant to do 'goodwill' work as someone, somewhere will complain and it's clearly more hassle than it's worth..

He's banging on about spacers now..

Me too, but I guess he's trying to be diplomatic; who knows how many cars the guy orders from them..? Maybe he buys a new M3 every 6 months!

It was clearly done as a favour during some other work from the sounds of things.

Didn't mean have a go, just explain they've clearly done him a favour. Although the most likely outcome from that is being told to keep your nose out!
