Hmm, two white square wheels with red x-spokes.

I'll give you a tenner for the novelty value.

You need to get a link to that picture in fotango and use that url instead.

I think there was a set in a similar condition in the classifieds a few weeks back...about £500 IIRC.

And did you really mean 18" at the mo....me thought they were the same as mine which are 17"....

I am with Satman, they look just like my 17 inchers. In fact, I thought you had nicked my car at first - it is identical to mine. Lets hear it for the non-blue-cerbera-owning-fraternity. Will be interested to read the results as I would like to get some spyders too.

They were meant to be re-called due to hairline cracks and replaced with shiney new spiders actually..?

It was only a certain batch of the 18" version of the RL7 that needed to be recalled. Might still be worth a call to the factory to check if yours were in the affected batch to see if you can get a free set of spiders (if thats what you want - I like the RL7's).....

Out of interest, how much do a set of 18's go for (spiders) both new and used but in a decent condition.

Assuming all 4 wheels are in as equally good nick I'd expect you to get between £350 - £450 for them. Fortunately for those of us who prefer them to the spiders there isn't quite as much demand.

Cheers. Didn't clarify myself before.

How much for a new set of spiders 18's?
How much for a used good condition spiders 18's?

aaaah, better.

For new 18" spiders, you are going to be looking at around £1200, including rubber. Second hand ones are like the proverbial hen's teeth - I was looking for ages, and in the end gave up, and had my 17"s refurbished, instead. £1050 cheaper, and I love 'em!

I'm not absolutely sure, but I think Neill Anderson's (sp?) name was on the bottom of the recall letter relating to the 18" RL7 porosity issue... Even if not, he's probably as good a place as any to start.

In answer to the cost of 18" Spiders, I had mine changed 3 weeks ago, at a main dealer due to ease, laziness etc.
You have to have the front steering rack limited which does make the already crap turning circle slightly worse, and the rear hubs have to be ground away to allow the rims to sit correctly.
You need Tuscan fronts all round.
I went for Toyo Proxes, 18x35x225 on the fronts, 18x35x265 on the rear.
Total cost including fitting was £1550
Which included centre caps, new wheel nuts etc etc.
Might be a bit more than I could have got, but most places had a long lead time due to short supply, and having had 4 quotes they were all around the same price.
This is for silver by the way, Anthracite are around £50 a wheel more, for some reason.

Ride is slightly harder, but far more responsive, and they have totally transformed the look of the car, from the 16" I had originally.

Do have some before and after pictures which I am happy to email to anyone who would like to see the difference.

Would really recommend anyone going this way.
Also, try speaking to Newlun designs if you fancy something different to spiders, ie. 19" wheels made for TVR's.

Hope this helps.
