Kef Q08s bass drivers
Discussion
Merry Xmas folks,
Well much to my regret I gave the ok to the house cleaner to bring her little angel with her,
I got home fom work and the place looked spotless, she WAS a good cleaner.
Sat down glass of red as you do, glanced over at the speaker, and noticed a hole bang in the middle of the bass driver, on closer insp there were 2 holes, even worse the little had put her finger through the other one too
My problem is I really like these speakers have had them from new since 1992 and with my system which I bought at the same time it sounds great together, and seems to get better each year.
I cant be bothered to spend all that time listening and looking to replace them.
I have spoken with Kef and they no longer make this size, Q80S I cant find them anywhere.
So thought I would turn to you good folk on here does anyone have a set they would sell? or any ideas to help replace the bass drivers,.
TIA
Sundance

Have a look at Wilmslow Audio, then give them a bell. They may be able to supply replacement parts.

Thanks Hugh, spoke with Terry at Wilmslow, their not able to, but he was very helpfull and gave me a guy not far from me, who can repair the ones I have, because it is the outer rubber seal that is damaged not the cone itself he may be able to repair them,
