Hi guys, I have fitted new Gaz Gold Pro coilovers to my Cerb and I am in the process of replacing all the wishbone bushes and upper and lower ball joints.

SO I need to know the best place to take it and get the coilovers and the tracking alligned. I did spend £80 in the summer getting the tracking done but I didn't notice any difference, what I need is someone who really knows what there doing and can REAllY set up a car.

Ant suggestions, I'm in the central belt but can travel.

Willie at CLCM in Edinburgh would be my first choice. He's up behind the astn franchise in sighthill?.

Failing that either hypertech or progrip in larbert / bonnybridge.

Clcm set up most of my fellow lotus enthusiasts cars, many of which are set to the exact customers settings for oversteer/understeer and specific rakes/cambers/toe settings.

I just asked him to make it handle good, it was amazing the difference when it came back. Genuinely felt like a different car. You can literaly feel every ripple on the road now and understeering is massively reduced. (apart from the rookie mistakes of piling into corners too fast on track).

Don't think my bill was even £80 for the full set up.

Cheers

I had my tracking/geometry done by A.G. Motorsport in Kilmarnock.
The guys there done a top job, and it only skinned me about £65 smile

Full printouts of everything they change are provided to you once the job is complete - I didn't understand most of it, but I thought it was a nice touch laugh

John at progrip did my civc,

Far better on the respone from the wheel, it needed also to sort out the wheels, honda felt it was fine to destroy my inside of the tyre but still have 4mm on the visiable side. Far better now. Loving the civic when it doesn't bloody snow!!!!!!

Just to advise that John at ProGrip has relocated to Larbert (just behind the Outside Inn in the retail park there - actually just behind the Mathesions bakery place). He moved a few weeks ago, new unit is cracking.

I was over there yesterday having the alignment checked on the van. I wouldn't have anyone else set up my suspension on any of my cars - John's done all of my previous ones too including setting up the coilovers on my Clio in the past.

If you google ProGrip you'll get his new details and phone number.
