Discussion
finally took my m3 evo for a diognostics check and a blast on the rolling road after a lack of power and only 160 miles on a full tank. no fualts found and first run was at 220 hp , turns out the accelorater was set to half throttle and the pipe to the induction kit wasnt doing anything, thats it £200 later to move the pipe lol and its back to 325 hp!!
next job is find a proper manual box instead of this bodged smg so i can start enjoying driving it.
also oil leaking from rear diff and rear shocks , rear trailing arm bushes perished !! and where is the the washer bottle in the smg's ?? lol
i know you have all told me to get rid of this so called dog but sod it im going im going to see it through, got a tidy low milaged m3 cab and going to get it as tidy and origional as i can!!
Any advice guys on the remaining problems ??
cheers AL

Well, I reckon, if you're doing the shocks & RTABs, check the top mounts & springs, & budget for the mounts at least: diff seals; do the lot, not just the leaking ones. Check for rust around the rear arches & behind the liners, whilst you're in there...and don't be surprised if it bites you again, I don't think it's finished with you, yet...
